GView is a simple image viewer meant to replace applications like Eye of Gnome and to be used as a tutorial for learning the GTK libraries. The code is heavily commented, and will soon include an accompanying tutorial on how to write GTK applications. Both functional and educational, it is one of the fastest image viewing utilities available.

But, did you know that vim installs a symbolic link to vim called precisely gview?

Actually no I didn't. I use vim, and gvim, however I never found a link called gview and not much came up on a google search either... if this is a problem for anyone I will rename the executable to GView or something else useful / descriptive (I'm open to suggestions). Thanks for the feedback.
