 ScheduleWorld 1.4.25 (Default)
Sections: Handhelds, Mac OS X, Unix

Added: Mon, Feb 3rd 2003 21:11 UTC (5 years, 6 months ago) Updated: Mon, Oct 9th 2006 16:17 UTC (1 year, 10 months ago)

Screenshot About:
ScheduleWorld is an Internet address book and calendar client and server service that uses open standards to interoperate with most software. It supports SyncML and provides a J2ME calendar client, an Atom/RSS blog reader, TV listings, weather schedules, and time sheets.

Release focus: Minor feature enhancements

Changes:
This release features more vCal SyncML fixes and workarounds. There was a fix for duplicate items in SyncML, support for keeping an unlimited number of cell phones in sync with no duplicates, preliminary support for Sync4j SIF formats (./sifcalendar and ./siftask) used by the Sync4j PIM clients for Outlook, Pocket PC, and others, and a new smaller J2ME version with better error handling and GUI tweaks. This version should work on any J2ME device that has HTTP capabilities. A new J2ME HTTP test program is available to test your phone's J2ME capabilities. Setting base permission fixes were also made.

[»] Outlook does adhear to some open standards.
by MarkSwanson - Jul 27th 2004 09:56:23

Outlook uses RFC 2445, 2446, 2447 for the calendaring and scheduling data format, interoperability rules, and transmission over email. Microsoft was actually on the IETF ical working group and helped define these standards.
